How life will change on the Opening Date of the WA Border

After two years, the difficult western border of Australia finally falls. Since the beginning of Saturday, February 5, interstates and foreign visitors will finally be able to travel to WA relative to freedom, ending in an “island within island” approach to decrease COVID as Mark McGowan defended the pandemic attack.

But it will not return to normal, with new rules and restrictions for the route to be controlled and from the west into the COVID era. Here you will find all that you need to know about the restrictions that take effect during the first week of February.

When are the territories open? Starting at 12:01 p.m., as of March 5, the Western Australian border has been officially reopened. McGowan said the block was unexpectedly sudden, and the date February 5 was set to be changed.

For the first time since March 2020, international arrivals will be able to enter WA without the need of their quarantine. There are no enhanced vehicles, no need, within the confines of the state itself. And WA will also reopen domestic travelers, albeit with some restrictions for interstate and overseas routes.

What are the obstacles to cross? The return of the free riders is a huge milestone, but things won’t go back even for those who are fully vaccinated. Strict testing requirements will be required for any trip to WA.

International patients who have been fully vaccinated must have a COVID-19 negative test taken within 72 hours of departure. Then they will be covered again within 48 hours of arrival and again on the sixth day in WA.

More importantly, however, visitors will not have to quarantin unless they try positive for COVID. And the domestic routes? There are similar requirements for home travel, less than six days after arrival requirements are necessary.
